May 12, 2009 the quebec-manufactured instaboat has added a second canoe to its easily transportable, collapsible aluminium boat range aimed specifically at fishermen. the new instaboat fisherman. Instaboat, sold on ebay. instaboat, portable boat ,boating, folding boat.. From my unused equipmentthis auction is for an instaboat. i am the original owner, purchased in windsor ct. probably around 1982.this has been in storage for most of it's life. i have only used it several times. a couple of times with my younger daughter and son, who are now 32 & 29 years old. it is not seaworthy and in need of repair. the rubber on the main rail has. 
pirogue instaboat folding boat Leave us separate two, distinctly different, concepts here - folding and nesting. folboat is a good example of a folding boat. it doesn't nest. the pictures of the two-part dinghy with the fore part setting inside the aft section is a good example of nesting. seedtick may be correct that a bulkhead should be 1" thick; i hope he's wrong.. A guy at work told me about 'folding boats' - and after some googling they seemed like a good choice. they seemed to perform well, assemble/fold easy, and weigh about the same as inflatables (~70lbs). the two companies i found were porta-bote & instaboat. both products were hard to find a dealer for..
