Marine plywood for stringers!!! while pressure treated has it's advantages, you need to find the old cca treated, the new ac2 eats most fasteners unless they're stainless. the other problem is that most all pressure treated needs to dry a good month in order to get any kind of a bond with the resins.. Because the wood in wood cored stringers is structural, any repairs you make to it have to be joined with a proper scarf. if you are replacing a section of plywood stringer, use a minimum of an 8-to-1 scarf bevel. for a
